1. Who we are
Canadian Take-Home Pay is run by Zhengtao Long, operating as ChowChow Labs (Ontario, Canada). Contact: chowchowbuy@gmail.com. By using the site you agree to these terms.
2. Estimates only
The calculators give estimates for general information and planning. They are not tax, legal or financial advice and are not tax-filing software. Your actual tax can differ because of credits, deductions, benefits and circumstances the calculators don’t ask about. Check results with the Canada Revenue Agency, Revenu Québec or a qualified professional before making decisions. The site is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Government of Canada, the CRA, Revenu Québec or Statistics Canada.
3. Accounts
- You sign in with your email address. Keep access to that email secure.
- One account per person. Don’t share your account or resell access.
- You can delete your account any time in Account.
4. Free and Pro plans
- The free calculator is free to use, with ads.
- Pro costs $2.99 CAD / month (plus sales tax where it applies) and unlocks the Pro calculator and removes ads. The iPhone app is a separate purchase.
- Pro renews automatically every month until you cancel. Cancel any time in Account; you keep Pro until the end of the paid month.
- Refunds are covered by our refund policy, including a 14-day money-back guarantee.
- We may change prices in future. We’ll tell subscribers by email before a new price applies to them.
5. Payments
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle’s buyer terms apply to purchases.
6. Data sources
Adapted from Statistics Canada, Table 11-10-0190-01, Market income, government transfers, total income, income tax and after-tax income by economic family type, 2024. This does not constitute an endorsement by Statistics Canada of this product.
Tax rates are compiled from information published by the Canada Revenue Agency and Revenu Québec.
7. Fair use
Please don’t scrape or republish the site, try to break or overload it, or get around the Pro features. We may suspend accounts that do.
8. Liability
We work hard to keep the rates accurate and up to date, but mistakes can happen and rules change. If you spot an error, email us. The site is provided “as is”, and to the extent the law allows we aren’t liable for losses from relying on the estimates. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Ontario consumer protection law.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and we’ll email subscribers about important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
